Luba Sadovska – Pioneering Coaching, VR Innovation & Parkinson’s Therapy

Luba Sadovska is a trailblazing table tennis coach, mentor, and advocate, committed to growing the sport at every level. As the co-founder of the North Shore Table Tennis Club, she helped establish one of the fastest-growing clubs in British Columbia, while also launching the first Table Tennis Academy in partnership with West Vancouver Schools—allowing students to earn academic credits through table tennis education.

Her coaching impact spans from developing young athletes into provincial and national-level competitors to guiding senior players to gold and silver medals in major competitions. Recognized for her leadership, she was honored with Table Tennis Canada’s Betty Tweedy Award (2019) and named Via Sport Community Coach of the Year (2020).

Luba is now exploring the cutting-edge role of Virtual Reality (VR) table tennis—not just as a training tool but as a therapeutic resource for Parkinson’s athletes. By integrating VR into her coaching, she is helping individuals improve reflexes, coordination, and cognitive function, demonstrating how immersive technology can provide both performance and rehabilitative benefits.

Beyond coaching, Luba is a Master Coach Developer in Table Tennis Canada’s National Coaching Program and was the only North American coach selected for an elite high-performance coaching course in Sweden. Her commitment to professional development continues with her studies in the Advanced Coaching Diploma at the Canadian Sport Institute Calgary.
