Teddy Abesamis (aka Teddybearasaurus) – ProVRTT Coach & Equipment Specialist

Teddy is a healthcare education professional with a deep passion for table tennis and equipment optimization. Competing since 2006, he has been an active figure in his local table tennis community, serving as a junior program mentor, practice partner, and equipment specialist. His dedication extended beyond the sport, organizing fundraising events in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, using table tennis as an educational and charitable platform.

After a three-year break, Teddy discovered the world of virtual table tennis in early 2022. With the guidance of Coach Sean O’Neill, he successfully used VR training to transform his playing style from a long-pip modern defender to a double-inverted offensive player, a transition that also improved his live table tennis game. His VR skills were put to the test in October 2023, when he won the Gold Tier Tournament in Eleven Table Tennis, earning a promotion to the Super Division.

Now an integral part of the ProVRTT team, Teddy contributes by leading virtual training sessions, fine-tuning paddle settings for players, and helping others replicate their real-world equipment in Eleven Table Tennis. His expertise bridges the gap between physical and virtual table tennis, allowing players to train more effectively in VR while staying true to their individual playstyles.
