Wladmir Pimentel (aka 11BRA_Wlad) – ProVRTT Head Coach
Wlad was born in Brazil in 1978, and has been playing table tennis since he was 12. He has been a state champion multiple times in the youth categories, a South Brazilian adult champion, and also won several stages of the Copa do Brasil throughout his career.
He started playing virtual reality table tennis two years ago and has been standing out in competitions since then, reaching 5th place in the world ranking and maintaining a spot in the top 10 for over a year.
In 2024, Wlad made history by participating in the first Virtual Table Tennis World Championship, organized by the ITTF, where he was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Later that year, he became the first Brazilian virtual champion.
He also has a solid career as a coach, training champion athletes in both real life and the virtual world.
In the late 1990s, he took over the Brazilian Paralympic team, qualifying athletes for the Sydney Olympic Games and helping the Brazilian team win the Pan American Games in Mexico City in 1999.
